Which casino's on the Las Vegas Strip have 2-4 limit poker games regularly?

I just like to play cards. sometimes when you get into a no limit table, everyone thinks they are in the world series of poker, and i just want to play cards. I can play for hours on $50 at a limit table but not all poker rooms have them because the rake is lower. I am staying at the Stratosphere, i have a car but i want to play on the strip..

hi all, i was playing poker last night and i don't know the rules 100% yet but i thought that the pot should of been split 2 ways.
ok i had in my hand.

the other guy had Jack Jack

The table had.

Queen. 10, 9, 8 and some other card i cant remember doesn't really matter.

so we both had a straight, however he won because of his second jack he had in his hand. however they told me that if you both have the same straight it goes of the kicker card so he won.

is this right? i can understand why he won i just didn't think it mattered and wasn't in the rules, i thought the pot should of been split.

Anybody know the value of a poker set?

i won a poker set, and i have No clue how to play poker, so its useless to me!! So I would like to sell it...but have no clue how much its worth. It came in a nice aluminum case as well, (11.50G) it says on the box.
Inside it has:
-5 big red dice
-two packs of cards, the box says "shiner, Hold'em"
-6 sets of 50 poker chips...green, white, red, red, black and blue
-and of course the really nice case!
I can tell that its a really nice poker set, but I don't play poker nor know anyone who does, so might as well try and sell it to someone who will get use out of it :) oh , i've only opened the case, not the cards or chips! thanks
If you could help me out here, just as to how much you think it'd be worth, that'd be great! I have no clue if they're worth $10, $20, $50, or $100 !

What Do You Think Of... My Final Table NL Poker Play:P?

It was a SNG... got up to 3 players left... chip leader had 80,000 i had 8,800 and 3rd player had 4,500... i folded mostly... and i got QQ on SB chip leader Button... i felt i had to fold like 10 more hands and i would come 2nd for sure...

So i decided to muck QQ preflop... (this is my thinking) it would be so hard for me to actually come 1st that i decide it would be more smart to play for 2nd... then after that go insane... because of this guys massive chip lead... also i didnt want to risk the off chance that my QQ got cracked...

Also blinds 300/600 Ante 75 i think...
Short stack was a weak passive player... who would fold A3... in hopes to move up my spot...

Messy breakup / how to deal with HIS MOTHER....Help ! Narcissistic?

My fiancee of 1 year recently broke up with me. We are both in our 30's. At the beginning, he was the best man on the planet; attentive, caring, sincere and I thought I had found my soul-mate. Our problems began 6 months after we first started going out so I initiated counselling but it didn't work. Towards the end, he would ignore me, isolate himself in the bedroom to play online poker and yell and swear at me whenever I dared interrupt him or try to talk about our relationship. The arguing got so bad that I twice had to call the police after he threatened to smash my computer and phone. He never physically hit me. He has always been competitive and I have since learned that he also has Narcissistic tendencies.

The last time the Police came he was taken to his mother's for a 2 day cooling-off period then he came home. In the days that followed, he would pick fights with me constantly almost like he wanted an explosive fight to justify his exit. Part of me also believes his mother is somehow involved in the demise because since the break-up she has evicted her tenants and has offered him her fully furnished rental property to live in. And since I had no choice but to call the Police, I'm guessing she has me on her "most hated" list.

Two weeks down the track we are a couple again and I have forgiven him for his shortcomings.

We love each other very much but he has given up on the idea of marriage

Now when I want to visit him, I have to sneak past her place and it feels so wrong :-(

Problem is - his mother gave him such a good deal with the rent, there is no incentive for him to want to live together with me. How do I deal with the interferring mother? And is there a future for this relationship? Or am I part of the narcissistic supply?

I came here to ask a question. One question. For whatever reason, I instantly became infatuated with a point system, that doesn't offer any monetary rewards like poker on-line could. Yet I find myself answering as many questions as I can to earn these points instead of playing poker! I know the "best things in life are free" but what is it that keeps me coming back! I'm competitive, I like points. Can I write my Yahoo Answer points on my resume'? I hope so. HELP!?

what is the strangest thing you've seen on Fulltilt Poker?

I am Not talking about Bad beats/suck outs/cold decks. I' talking about behavior. Yesterday while playing on 1 cent 2 cent cap game, one player some cat_(some numbers and letters) was playing with $300 stack. Not only was his stack size strange enough, he was playing reckless, raising every pot, Playing the cap limit EVERY hand. Now that was not the strange part, a few players were also involve in the flip, there were 2 players who'll get busted and start asking for money and this guy actually transferred money to them like $5 or $10, (they were chatting feverishly in the chat box about it), I wanted to ask him too but did'nt think the need of it cause i kept doubling up from 80 cents to almost 5 dollars all thanks to him. Lol!

Thinking about it i kinda regret not asking, a free 5 dollar would have got me into a nice tourney. Hmmm...

Has anyone seen such strange people. Share experience, 10 points up for grabs

hey all, Im 16 turning 17 in december and I have recently became quite interested in playing poker. My parents strongly discourage it, and I can understand that they are trying to protect me from getting involved in gambling, for it can be quite addictive. However, gambling is pretty prominent in my family; My cousin is 23 and plays poker professionally, my uncle bets for every horse race and often hits 1400 superfectas. My mom even told that my dad played professionally some years ago, however, he had a bad swing one night and lost a good amount of money, and my mom says that is why he strongly discourages me from playing. I usually win at family games, and I think im alright for my level, but can anyone offer some inight to what i can do to get better or read any other books, (I am reading Phil Hellmuths book as of now) I think I could be really good, Probability comes easy to me and Im good at math. Suggestions??
