Question: How do I win a tournament?

( Back )

Answer #1:

It is just tough to win tournaments with 2000+ players in them. You could play tournaments of this size everyday and go years without winning one even if you are a good player. The fact that you make it to the top 50 or 100 consistently is a great accomplishment. If you keep putting yourself in good positions to win than eventually you will get a good run of cards late in the tournament or win a bunch of the races late to propel you to victory. There are a lot of luck to tournaments but good players put themselves in positions to get lucky and win more times than bad players do. Keep with what you are doing and keep learning and eventually you will win one. You may also want to try some tournaments with fewer players if you are itching for the win.
