Question: In poker, 2 players with one pair, who wins?

( Back )

Answer #1:

Player B wins.

Answer #2:

B wins ,not from having a higher pair, but 3 8's, that's what the community cards are for, if the community was 4,8,4 A wins with 4 4's.

Answer #3:

player b wins, 8 beats 4.

Answer #4:

in any case its the person with the highest pair wins. this would mean that player B, who has the pair of eights out of a combination of his cards and the community cards, would win despite the fact that player A has pocket 4s. its like saying Player A and Player B each have a pair of aces, the one with a higher kicker would win the hand unless both players had the same high card as well or both had pocket aces.

Answer #5:

The person with the higher pair wins.

Answer #6:

Player B win, it doesn't matter where the card is, hand or community on the table.

Answer #7:

Best 5 cards win, always - whether you make the hand using 1, 2 or none of your hole cards doesn't matter, only that it's the best hand from the 7 available to you. (In Omaha, it's a different story - there you MUST use exactly 2 of your 4 hole cards to make a hand.)
